The Problem

The Divine Problem

Across our cities, worshipped items are often left under trees and temple corners, where they break, decay, and end up as waste. Without a system in place, the weather turns these items of devotion into waste harming both their dignity and the environment.

The Solution

Our Approach

Project Udvasana offers a volunteer-led respectful alternative. Instead of leaving worshipped frames or idols under trees or temple walls, drop them off at designated udvasana collection points. All items will undergo Udhvasana puja before responsible reuse or recycling.

"What we worship deserves dignity—not neglect"
Our Process

3 Step Agenda

1

Collect Responsibly

Gather worshipped items from devotees in a respectful and organized manner at designated collection centers.

2

Sanctify

Perform Udhvasana puja to respectfully conclude the worship cycle of collected items before any handling.

3

Reuse/Recycle

Responsibly reuse intact items or recycle materials through authorized channels, ensuring nothing goes to waste.

Project Udvasana is an initiate of the renowned environment and social worker Dr. Shanthi Tummala. Loop Sustainability is partnering this initiative to scale across locations through process standardization and technology support. The most ideal destination of Project Udvasana is when there is no need for it
